Company: A Swiss owned internationally active pharma company, which researches, develops, produces and markets its own pharmaceutical products worldwide. The company's main area of focus is iron deficiency anaemia, which is linked to a host of chronic diseases. Sales are growing rapidly with a predicted turnover of 100% growth in 2011.

Role: Due to consistent growth this newly created position of a NHS Liaison Manager will be working together with Hospital Specialist Representatives to manage the interaction between clinical and administrative NHS stakeholders within the Region. The product is an IV treatment for iron deficiency when oral iron preparations are ineffective or cannot be used including chronic heart failure, renal dialysis, cancer, IBS patients. You will be calling on accounts in the North East SHA from Newcastle down to Leeds and Sheffield.

Requirements: Ideal candidates will be degree level educated (scientific/ business) and possess a minimum of 5 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry including NHS funding and commissioning processes at SHA, PCT and Hospital levels. You will also have a proven track record of influencing PCT and Hospital patient care pathways and funding models. Relevant therapy area knowledge is desirable along with experience working with commercial teams.
